About Me
My name is Gary Climo and I was born in Liverpool, England in 1980. Throughout my happy childhood I did three things: I played football, I played with my computer (basic programming and games), and I drew. Since I never made it as a football player—my dream—it made sense to follow my two "rational passions."
Computers + Art = Graphic Design
I came to Washington DC in 2001 to study Print Design mainly but I'm a self-trained Web Designer now too as you can see.
Employment
In my previous role working for the Corporate Executive Board, I was responsible for:
Steering the firm's intellectual property through the process from idea to presentation, interfacing with editors and authors alike; finding creative ways to present information to educate top executives at some of the best and brightest companies around the world, managing both long-term and fast-turnaround projects; prioritizing and delegating work whilst offering support to other designers; fostering strong working relationships by providing consultative design, creating compelling graphics, and illustrations whilst ensuring all parties met their deadlines.
